Museum

The Da Vinci Academy is proud to host our “Museum of Inspired Learning,” a place where our students and other DVA stakeholders display their best work and some premier evidence of our teaching and learning adventures. Exhibits will be held at the end of major units, and will include rich multimedia representations of learning.

We look forward to hosting community members and students of other schools while our own serve as museum docents, or teaching tour guides, through the exhibits.

Museum Hosts Artwork

The Museum of Inspired Learning at the Da Vinci Academy is certainly becoming the proud home of several wonderful exhibits as DVA begins its first year of operation.

The museum is currently hosting in its art gallery the works of many local artists in a display from Quinlan Art Museum and the North Georgia Art League. Artwork ranges from watercolor and acrylic still lifes to acrylic impressionistic pieces to acrylic, pen and watercolor landscapes. Many thanks to the League for this lovely display, so inspiring to DVA students with a bent towards the visual arts!

In addition, DVA is proud to host an inspiring metal sculpture of an eagle in wingspread, made from reclaimed garbage metal and worked by local artist Kyle Stubbs and on loan permanently at the museum.

DVA teacher and museum curator Cindy White is, meanwhile, teaching a class in museum studies to a group of eager middle schoolers who plan on opening the museum up soon for school tours!
