Holiday Celebration

Either on 12/14 or 12/17, DVA students plan to host a Holiday Celebration that will involve our band, chorus, and drama team. Due to acoustical and space considerations, we would like this event to be held at a local church or community center.  If you know of a good location, please check with that organization to see if Dec 14 or 17 would be available from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Then let Cris Price know as soon as possible.

Calling all Crafty Parents

We will need some artsy parents to help pour plaster masks on Oct. 1^st & 2^nd, paint masks on the 5^th& 6^th.  Also, we will need one or two people to help us build a chicken wire/framed panel about 10’ X 10’. Student Demographic Information

Another Student Demographic form is being sent home today with the students that we still need to receive one from.  There is a note attached asking that they be returned no later than 10/30/09 but it SHOULD say, please return no later than 9/30/09.  It is very important that these be turned into the office by Wednesday, September 30^th.  Thank you for your help with this.

Enrichment Choices – 2^nd 9 weeks

It is time for students to make an enrichment choice for second nine weeks.  This time children will only select one enrichment class.  Choices include drama, cooking, math, sign language, fitness, or Atomic Learning/Newscast Team.  We will not send a form home this time.  Please discuss this choice with your child.  He or she will make a selection on Friday, October 2.

Fitness Class Needs

The fitness class that will be taking place during the 2^nd 9 week period will need a few supplies.

Homework Assignments

Parents can check homework assignments and projects by having their children login topodcast.hallco.org.  Once you are on the site, click on the teacher’s name to see what they have assigned.

Art in the Square

One of our parents, David Tunkel will be displaying some of his art work on Saturday, October 3^rd in downtown Gainesville on the Square.  David is donating 10% of his earnings to Da Vinci Academy.
