Dear DVA Parents,

Thank you to all who attended our first DVA Parent Seminar last week!  What a great turn-out and what nice feedback you have provided!

For those who were unable to come, the proceedings will soon be available to you on-line.  The PowerPoint that Ms. Schollaert and Ms. Haymore used to explain your children’s upcoming social studies research projects is already on our podcast site at http://podcast.hallco.org/users/kelly.schollaert/.  Resources that they referenced during their presentation are on Ms. Haymore’s web page, http://teresahaymore.com/research.cfm.  My PowerPoint on academic rigor and a video file of the evening will be posted soon.  I’ll let you know when those go up and where to find them.   

But now it’s time to look ahead to our second DVA Parent Seminar!  On Tuesday, November 17^th, Mrs. Elder and I will present on the topics of raising self-reliant children and parenting for achievement. Please join us in the Large Conference Room at the Central Office from 6-7 p.m. on the 17^th!  We look forward to seeing you there!
